Land Rover now has another award to add to its growing collection. The 2012 Range Rover Evoque has been named Autoweek's "Best of the Best" in the truck category for its unique style, impressive performance, and value. It was cited as offering "crisp handling [and] satisfying power" and for "break[ing] new Ground for Land Rover, edging out the Mercedes ML and BMW X3."¹

The "Best of the Best" award was based on all 2011 Autoweek vehicle test drives and evaluations for 2012 models, so it took a lot of clout to win the overall designation. The editor explains that the award is based around what auto enthusiasts, not their experts, consider to be the best. The Truck category included everything from pickups, to SUVs, to minivans, and the 2012 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque crushed them all. Autoweek believes this Evoque has finally led the Range Rover line into the 21^st century, due to its new lightweight body and better fuel efficiency, as well as its maintained luxury and great off-road performance.
